Welcome to HIGH ROAD Install Guides

Welcome to the HIGH ROAD install guide library. I'm Nick Pierini, owner and fitment expert at HIGH ROAD. I've spent almost 20 years installing suspension on my own trucks and helping other people install theirs. This is where I'm putting that experience in writing.

Why these guides exist

I've done these installs myself. Not from a manual, and not from a video I watched once. I've had the parts in my hands, the truck up on jack stands, and the bolt that won't break loose. That's the difference I want these guides to carry.

A lot of install instructions skip the part that actually matters. They tell you what to do but not what to watch for. They leave out the step where most people get stuck. I write these from doing the work, so they cover the things that only show up when you're under the truck.

What you'll find here

Over time this library will cover a few kinds of content:

  • Install walkthroughs. Step by step, with the gotchas called out.
  • Parts comparisons. When two kits do the same job, what actually separates them.
  • Buying guides. How to pick the right setup for what you actually drive.
  • Troubleshooting. The common issues people run into, and how to sort them out.

If you're trying to figure out which lift fits your truck, what shocks to run with it, or why something doesn't sit right after an install, this is where you'll find the answer.

Who these guides are for

HIGH ROAD is a Toyota, Nissan, Lexus, and Infiniti truck and SUV specialist. The deepest knowledge here is on the Nissan Titan and Armada, because that's where I started and where I've spent the most time. But the Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, the Lexus GX, the Infiniti QX, and the rest of the lineup all get the same treatment. The same hands-on knowledge sits behind every guide.

This library is going to grow. If there's a vehicle or a part you'd like to see covered, let me know. I'd rather write the guides people actually need than guess at it.
